8 months!

Happy 8 months to the most perfect little blessing from God! Every month I can't believe how much older you are getting and how much more you are learning! It's amazing to watch!

Here is what you are up to:
-You are crawling!!!
-You started standing up in your crib! We had to definitely lower it asap!
-You are not sleeping very well...I think you might be teething! Oh how I miss you sleeping through the night!
-You and Bailey are becoming good friends fast!
-You started eating organic baby food from Whole Foods. Mommy still makes your food but you eat like the organic baby food from the store a lot better! Avacado is still your most favorite food!

During the middle of the night you like to wake up and sit up and play with the crib bumper!

Bailey is starting to play with you more! I can't wait till you can run around and chase each other!

7 Months!

January 5 marked your 7th month and the start of a brand new year...2014! It's crazy to think this time last year we were wondering if you were a boy or a girl! This past month was a super busy month!

Here is what you were up to:
-You have definitely become way more independent. It's so fun to see you play and wonder what you are thinking!
-You want to crawl so bad and are up on all fours just waiting to start moving! I am not ready for that! I like that you just sit there and play and do not move!
-You have started pulling up in your crib trying to stand but haven't quite gotten that far yet.
-You have your front two bottom teeth and it makes you looks so much older!
-We had Christmas at our house for the first time since everyone was out of town.
-We did fly to Virginia to see your Great Grandma Phelps! That was your first airplane ride and you loved looking out the window. You did great going there but coming back you were very tired and a little cranky on the plane.
-We bought you a swing for Christmas and you love it!
-You still love going to school and they absolutely adore you there!!! They tell me everyday how much they love you!
-You also visited Santa Clause and to my surprise you did not cry but had the biggest smile! I hope you do that next year!
-We also rang in the New Year flying back home from VA! You did not stay up till midnight neither did your mommy or daddy!

Uncle Chris took some pictures of you to give to me for Christmas! They were perfect!

You love looking out the window on the airplane!

Great Grandma Phelps!

2013 brought us the best gift we could have ever asked for! It was a the most perfect year and we are so blessed you came into your lives! We love you very much!

6 months!

I am way behind in posting but hopefully I can remember what she was up to during these past few months!

December 5th marked 6 months old for my Maddie K! I cannot believe she is half a year old! 6 months has been my favorite so far!

Here is what you have been up to this past month:
-You can sit up on your own and play a little but you can't crawl away just yet.
-Poor thing got your first eye infection but you were a pro at those thick nasty eye drops!
-Your laugh is contagious and so is your smile!
-Since you are sitting up better you can now sit in a grocery cart all by yourself and you absolutely love it!
-You tasted real food that mommy has made for you! Your favorite is avocado!
-I was so excited to take some family pictures because I just knew you would smile....boy was I wrong. You cried the whole time but we did get a few good pictures.
-For your first Thanksgiving we went to see Gigi and Pops in San Angelo. We also had a little Christmas with them too. You also met your cousin Tinley for the first time too!

You love playing with Jack!

And Hayden!

I think this will the the first of MANY "daddy can I have it" faces! Daddy sure did buy this for Christmas after seeing that face!

5 months!

Madison is 5 months old! Every month just flies by! This little girl is my complete obsession! I just can't get over how so darn fun and cute she is...yes I am biased but seriously she is!

She has done so much this last month:
-eats rice cereal
-rolls from her back to her tummy
-absolutely loves Bailey more and more every day
-drools like nobody's business
-can almost sit up on her own but not quite yet
-sleeping through most of the night again
-went to "school" for the first time
-had her baby dedication at church
-first halloween
-first real family pictures
-cousin, Tinely was born

Below are some pictures from her baby dedication at church and the sweet gift they gave her.

She was a ghost for her first Halloween!

Her cousin, Tinley, was born on October 30! I can't wait for them to grow up together!

Madison is now going to "school" at Meadows Christian Learning Center at Meadows Baptist Church in Plano. With all the mess we had with trying to find an in home sitter and day care this ended up being the perfect place for her to be. She goes MWF and there are only 4 babies with 2 teachers in there every day. And her teachers are all Christians! I mean you seriously can't beat that! She has gone once and did amazing! They absolutely just adore her there...but who wouldn't! ha! :)

Oh I just love that pouty lip!

She makes the funniest faces when taking her picture! Oh I just love this sweet face so much! Having Madison has definitely reminded me how much God loves us so much. As much as I LOVE and ADORE Madison and call her my obsession God loves us way more than that. Crazy to even imagine but so thankful we serve a God who loves us that much and I pray one day Madison will know about Him too!

4 months

Our sweet little, I mean not so little, Maddie K is 4 months!! I love watching her change and grow! She is still a baby but I already miss her being a baby if that makes any sense! ;)

A few things she has accomplished this month:
-rolls over in her crib from tummy to back, mommy doesn't like this when it happens in the middle of the night because Madison wakes up!
-got her first cold :(
-can sit up by herself as long as she leans forward with her hands touching the floor
-notices Bailey, our dog, a lot more! She will laugh for no reason when Bailey is rolling on the floor in front of her.
-her stubbornness is coming out more! she likes to grunt when she's frustrated! lol
-took her 2nd trip in the car to Odessa...this time she did not want to be in the car seat at all!
-spent more time with her bff, Jack!

These two might be inseparable later on!

Jack and Madison's first two play dates! Do I see a future romance brewing?!? lol

First trip to a park, Klyde Warren Park in Dallas! Love this place!

Pop's got to spend his birthday with this little girl this year!

This child LOVES her jumperoo! She will go crazy jumping in that thing every day!

We also got to spend some time with two of my favorite former students, also sisters, Westyn and Maddie! These girls are so sweet and growing up to be great role models and babysitters for Madison.

And of course I had to post more pics of this sweet face, aka my obsession, from this past month!

3 months

Madison is 3 months old today! I honestly remember thinking that this day would never come. The first couple of weeks at home were super stressful! Everyone kept saying when she hits 3 months it will be so much better and she will be lots more fun. That is true but she was a little bit more fun before now! ;)  It has gone by super fast and she just keeps changing so much!!

A few things she has been doing lately:
-she rolled over for the first time in her crib...but I think it was an accident...she hasn't done it since.
-she laughs and "talks" way more
-she laughs and smiles almost every time I put a headband or bow on her
-she is sleeping from about 8:30pm to 5:30am
-eats about 6 oz of formula
-Bailey (our dog..aka our first "child" who is now neglected some) is loving Madison more and more...he likes to lick her a LOT!

A few pictures from this past month!

Our first walk...big girl style!

Daddy's girl!!! She's one lucky girl!

Cheering on her future college team...UT!

This past month school also started. I chose to take maternity leave for the first 9 weeks. I was a little hesitant to do so at first but now I am loving it and honestly I haven't hardly thought that much about school...which has been sooo nice! I get to spend my days with Madison playing, napping, shopping, and seeing her change and grow which is the best part! I have also got back in touch with my crafty side! I have made some bows and a few festive shirts for Madison. I just LOVE having a girl!! Now if only she could get pedicures with me! ;)

Madison Kate you definitely have my whole heart!
